The Four Fantastic Books I Read in December 2021

The Four Fantastic Books I Read in December 2021

Features, Monthly Round Ups
Rounding off the final month of 2021, I managed to finish four books in December. Not the most I've read in a month, but a month that contained the longest Harry Potter book so I think I can let myself off. Also, it was a month where for a solid week I did no reading as I was eating, with family or drinking! However, I did read a couple of great books in December and some not-so-great books too. Keep swiping scrolling to see which is which and whether you agree with my final verdicts and whether you've read any of these books either. My 5 Most Successful Blog Posts from November 2021

At the start of each month, I highlight the best performing posts throughout the previous month. I only include articles I actually posted throughout that month and they're written in order. I don't do this to brag, it is to highlight what posts work well and which possibly don't for those prospective bloggers. Here are the most successful blog posts from the month of November. [caption id="attachment_1476" align="aligncenter" width="400"] Pin me to Pinterest![/caption] November was a month in which I tried to some slightly different articles. As I run out of a backlog of books on my Goodreads to review, I am writing more original content that I hope will help people. These include Blogger Spotlights which I hope will give other bloggers a great platform, How-tos and Tips and…

The Four Books I Read in November 2021

Features, Monthly Round Ups
November was a slightly slower reading month for me as I picked up some slightly longer books and my life took over a little more than usual (I actually had plans). However, two of the books from this month were up there as some of the best books I've ever read and have gone right into my top five books of all time. Despite not reading quite as many, I feel like this made November one of my favourite reading months! But what were the four books I actually read? I've brought back the Blogger Spotlights to highlight some of the fantastic blogs out there who want a larger audience, I've read and reviewed some truly fantastic books, and I've picked up some older books I read a long time ago and gave my verdict on them. The Seven Spectacular Books I Read in October

Features, Monthly Round Ups
In October I read a wide array of books including thrillers, mysteries, a crime novel and the first book I've been sent directly by the author. This month featured three five-star reviews, three four-star reviews and one three-star review. It was a great month of reading filled with a wide range of genres and quality of books. I also hit my 50-book reading goal towards the end of the month which I didn't think I'd hit, let alone with a couple of months of the year left! My 5 Most Successful Blog Posts from September

Features, Monthly Round Ups
September has been a great month for my blog setting the second-highest amount of views in a month I've had (the first was July when the Goodreads vs StoryGraph article went a little viral). This is good news as it inevitably means the blog is growing slowly but surely. Here's to October being the biggest month I ever have! [caption id="attachment_1211" align="aligncenter" width="400"] Pin me to Pinterest[/caption] Do note, the list below are the articles that have been most successful for me that I posted in September. Oddly, The SIlent Patient review got the most amount of views this month, though based on the large number of spammy comments it gets, I feel this is because it may have fallen onto some spam radar, unfortunately. Please note that this article contains…

The Seven Spectacular Books I Read in September

Features, Monthly Round Ups
In September I read four five-star books, one of which is an absolute classic, one of which is a sequel to a hit book from 2020, one of which is a truly life-affirming book and the final of which is a contemporary masterpiece about the struggles of love and class set in Greek mythology (take a guess!). I also read three other books which I've given summaries of below. My 5 Most Successful Blog Posts from August

Features, Monthly Round Ups
This month has seen me not produce quite as many articles as usual as I've been away for quite a few of the days rightfully relaxing from my full-time job working as a Comms Officer in my local hospital. However, there have been some huge books and, as a result, some huge book reviews. There have also been some interesting new articles that I've put out definitely worth visiting. [caption id="attachment_1080" align="aligncenter" width="400"] Pin me to Pinterest![/caption] Do note, the list below are the articles that have been most successful for me that I posted within August. It may interest some of you to know that my Goodreads vs StoryGraph article outperformed all of my articles once again this been month, despite being posted in early July. Please note that…

The Five Amazing Books I Finished in August

Book reviews, Features, Monthly Round Ups
Throughout the month of August, I finished off five books, the same as the number of books I read in July. I picked up a couple of YA (young adult) fantasy books that I've been meaning to read in Divergent and I Am Number Four - Divergent impressed me more. As well as these, I finally finished Oathbringer which took me about a month to read and finished the Booker Prize-winning Shuggie Bain and hit of 2018 The Tattooist of Auschwitz. The Five Books I Finished in July

Features, Monthly Round Ups
Throughout the month of July, I finished five books (I've worded it like this because I started a couple of these in June). There have been a few that are later books in the series that I will eventually review but haven't done so yet due to not having reviewed the previous books in the series. I would rather get every book in a series reviewed first. (more…)
