I’d heard a lot about Jade City by Fonda Lee before I picked it up. It had begun to build up some incredible hype when the second one came out and people remembered just how good the first is. I feel that the hype for a first book gets a second wind when the sequel comes out as people didn’t want to hype it too early in case the rest of the series was bad. I do plan on reading the second at some point. However, this review is about the first. (more…)
