Blogger Spotlights, Features
Welcome back to another Blogger Spotlight. For these articles, I have sent out a request to anybody who would be interested in having their blog shown on another blog to reach out and answer some questions for me. Today I'll be highlighting The Livi Chronicles, a book and lifestyle blog run by Livi. Both a fan of books and a fan of fashion, food and other trends, Livi set up a blog that would allow her to fulfil her passion for writing as well. Since writing these questions, she's looking to broaden her horizons to include a wider range of content on her blog. What made you get into blogging? I have always wanted to create a platform to share my writing and connect with other writers and overall meet…

My 5 Most Read Blog Posts from January 2022

My 5 Most Read Blog Posts from January 2022

Features, Monthly Round Ups
At the start of each month, I highlight the best performing posts throughout the previous month. I only include articles I actually posted throughout that month and they're written in order. I don't do this to brag, it is to highlight what posts work well and which possibly don't for those prospective bloggers. Here are the most successful blog posts from the month of January 2022. November was a month in which I tried to some slightly different articles. As I run out of a backlog of books on my Goodreads to review, I am writing more original content that I hope will help people. These include Blogger Spotlights which I hope will give other bloggers a great platform, How-tos and Tips and Tricks for other bloggers and Bookstagrammers and…

The Seven Spectacular Books I Read in January 2022

The Seven Spectacular Books I Read in January 2022

Features, Monthly Round Ups
In the first month of the year, I decided I wanted to start the year off strong and pick up some of the thrillers that had been sitting on my TBR list for far too long. On top of this, I also stumbled across two corkers that I hadn't even heard of until about a day before I bought them. As well as a huge array of thrillers, I managed to finish the penultimate Harry Potter book and also squeeze in a book that many people say changed their lives - but did it change mine? Find links to all of the books I've reviewed below and links to pick up your own copy too if you so wish. My favourite types of thrillers

My favourite types of thrillers

Features
I feel like this year is going to be the year of thrillers for me. Not only have I read some absolute bangers recently but there are more and more coming out as we see the likes of Netflix picking up some on some huge hits, giving those budding authors some great ideas on where to take those. In all honesty, if you were sitting there, watching all of these thriller TV series and book-to-film adaptations going on and had an idea sitting in your head for a great thriller, you'd definitely start writing it wouldn't you? I know I certainly would. Anyway, I digress, I'm on a thriller genre kick this year, hoping to pick up some absolute gem that will have me coming away either creeped out, impressed…

Blogger Spotlight on Simply Good Books

Blogger Spotlights, Features
Welcome back to another Blogger Spotlight. For these articles, I have sent out a request to anybody who would be interested in having their blog shown on another blog to reach out and answer some questions for me. Today we'll be highlighting Simply Good Books, a book blog run by Christine. Christine, like so many of us during the pandemic, took the many hours at home as an opportunity to spark up a hobby. Christine started SImplyGoodBooks as a site to offer personal book recommendations to others with her additional motive coming after she read a book review of Hilary Mantel's Wolf Hall which she found it to be unnecessarily mean and unhelpful. What made you get into blogging? I have been an avid reader all my life, being one…

Days of the Week Book Tag

Blog Tags, Features
In my mission to do more book tags, I did some searching and found a rather fun book tag based on days of the week (I know... who thought of these?) Well, this one is from Adventures Between Pages which I found through with ZeeZee with books. Pin me to Pinterest! Want to know how it works? Well, each day has its own "theme" with a related question which I answer. These are all book-related too, making it super easy for me to answer them. If you're reading this, feel free to consider yourself tagged! Anyway, let's begin this Days of the Week Book Tag. MURDER MONDAY FAVORITE MURDER/CRIME BOOK The Appeal by Janice Hallett I actually finished and reviewed The Appeal really recently and it has really left a…

Welcome back to another Blogger Spotlight. For these articles, I have sent out a request to anybody who would be interested in having their blog shown on another blog to reach out and answer some questions for me. During a time when all of her friends were using the lockdown as an opportunity to create new things and start new ventures, Esther decided to create Cozy with Books to feed her love of reading and all things books. What made you get into blogging? I started reviewing books on Goodreads but wanted to move onto a different platform. I love books and during quarantine and lockdown back in 2020, my friends were using the time to start their own passion…

The Four Fantastic Books I Read in December 2021

The Four Fantastic Books I Read in December 2021

Features, Monthly Round Ups
Rounding off the final month of 2021, I managed to finish four books in December. Not the most I've read in a month, but a month that contained the longest Harry Potter book so I think I can let myself off. Also, it was a month where for a solid week I did no reading as I was eating, with family or drinking! However, I did read a couple of great books in December and some not-so-great books too. Keep swiping scrolling to see which is which and whether you agree with my final verdicts and whether you've read any of these books either.
